NEED MORE BREAD?
Twelve minutes from the villa, in a village of roughly 26 houses, sits Wild Flour Bread — a wood-fired brick oven bakery that people drive hours for, on purpose, repeatedly. This is the source of the glutens of legend: enormous, gooey, technically shareable. (Technically.)
The scouting report: open Friday through Monday, 8 AM to 6 PM, which lands squarely in Free Play. Go early-ish — there's usually a line, it moves, and the famous stuff sells out. The fougasse has a devoted following, the scones sell out daily, and there are gluten-free options for our GF danizens. There's a garden to wander with your coffee while you contemplate whether one sticky bun was, in retrospect, enough.
No online ordering. No catering. No shortcuts. You go, you queue, you are rewarded. Pilgrims who return with an extra loaf will find the kitchen crew grateful and Friday's dipping station generous.

LATTE YOUR WAY
The breakfast spread will have coffee and tea in generous, reliable quantities. But for those among us who believe a morning beverage should have texture — who hear the word "microfoam" and feel something — the Grand Villa will host the Latte Your Way station. Espresso, steamed milk, froth in proportions of your choosing. Cappuccino purists, flat white loyalists, and "just make it mostly foam" people are all welcome here. No judgment, no menu, no baristas with opinions. Just you, the machine, and your vision.
We will have Oat, Almond, 2%, Whole, and Half and Half and a variety of Nespresso pods. It's your latte. It's your way. It's right there in the name.
